Cheryl Rigdon has a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology with an undergraduate degree in Special Education and worked in that field for many years before she invented Spatty®. Cheryl is now working full time on Spatty® and taking care of her two young daughters.
Cheryl has always been a problem-solver, and when she got annoyed by not being able to access the product at the bottom of her expensive bottles of make-up and lotion, she came up with a solution. That solution was Spatty®. After creating the perfect tool for her dilemma in the bathroom, she decided that the same tool, only bigger, could be used in the kitchen, garage and throughout the home, so the Spatty® family of tools was born.
Cheryl did most of the development of Spatty® by herself. Her husband, mom and dad were very supportive and helpful. Her husband works as a project manager in a factory, so he was able to offer some insight, but Spatty® is totally Cheryl’s creation.

Being on Shark Tank was a wonderful experience for me! I am very grateful that I had the opportunity to be on Shark Tank!
What you saw on my episode was pretty much how it went. All of the Sharks were nice to me. They all liked Spatty®. Kevin, AKA "Mr Wonderful," said it is sheer gold. They also loved the name Spatty® and Spatty® Daddy! Mark Cuban even said "Spatty® Daddy" was going to be Mr. Wonderful's new name.
It still amazes me that I was able to bring my handmade Spatty® to pitch on a national show and pitch my brand new product to very successful entrepreneurs.
I walked away from the experience with a lot of good advice from the Sharks and a mentorship with Daymond.
Cheryl has a passion for helping others, and she is using her invention to help change people's lives. There are 800 million people in the world who do not have access to clean, safe water. If they drink their water, it will make them sick.
In America, we take the ability to turn on the faucet and get safe water for granted. Cheryl is doing her part by donating a percentage of Spatty's profits to providing clean water to third world countries. It is a fact that access to clean, safe water can change people's lives. Know that when you purchase a Spatty®, you are helping people who desperately need it.
